Alison Sweeney recently celebrated her 12 year anniversary portraying Sami Brady, daughter of Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) on NBC's "Days of Our Lives." Sweeney has taken Sami from a rebellious teen to a devoted single-mother, but not without several detours along the way. She has tackled a variety of controversial storylines, including bulimia, date rape, teen pregnancy and capital punishment. In the process of becoming Salem's resident bad girl, Sweeney has won The Soap Opera Digest Award four times (1996, '98, '99 and 2001) and -- in an overwhelming show of fan support -- a Daytime Emmy for 'America's Favorite Villain.' Most recently, Sweeney completed her autobiographical book "All The Days of My Life (So Far)" (published by Kensington). Sweeney, who began acting at age four, recently taped an appearance on Bravo's "Celebrity Poker" which will air in November 2005. Last season she appeared on NBC's "Las Vegas." She previously crossed over into primetime opposite Matt LeBlanc and Jennifer Aniston on "Friends." She has subsequently made memorable appearances on NBC's "Weakest Link" (winning the jackpot for one of her favorite charities: The CHP 11-99 Foundation) and "Fear Factor" (with Stephen Baldwin and Backstreet Boy Kevin Richardson). The 90-minute special episode of "Celebrity Fear Factor" received the highest rating in the program's history. Sweeney's additional credits include, "Simon & Simon," "Webster," "St. Elsewhere," "Family Man," "Brand New Life," "I Married Dora," "Tales from the Darkside" and "The End of Innocence." Born in Pasadena, California, Sweeney grew up in a musical family. Her mother is an accomplished studio violinist. Through her mom, Sweeney met her husband Dave, who is a California Highway Patrol Officer. The two reside in Los Angeles with their baby Ben and three chiquaquas - Consuella, Frida & Paco. Her birthday is September 19.
